Primary 5 and 6 are studying 'The Olympics' this term. Usain Bolt is certainly a very famous Olympian (and in the news this week!). His World Record for 100m is 9.58secs. We watched his races in the classroom but sometimes it's difficult to appreciate just how quick he can actually run. This afternoon our class measured out 100m so the children could see and fully appreciate the distance this man covers in such a short space of time! His nickname 'Lightning Bolt' certainly suits!!
