Ditch the Dark Day was held on Friday 20th October. The theme for this event was 'Be Bright, Be Seen!'
As part of St Columban's participation in the 'Active School Travel' programme, which is being delivered in conjuction with the charity 'Sustrans', pupils were encouraged to 'actively travel' to school wearing bright colours.
Our 'walking bus' met at the bandstand in Belcoo and parents, pupils & staff set off together for school.
Ann-Marie from Sustrans came along as well to see everybody dressed brightly and she very kindly brought along some prizes for pupils.
Parents then joined us in school for tea & coffee after braving the elements.
A great morning was had by all!
