A massive thank-you to all those who contributed to the recent 'Cash for Clobber' clothes collection. The collection was organised by the St Columban's Eco Committee as part of their campaign to promote recycling and as a fundraising event for the school. We collected a whopping 540 kilos of old clothes and textiles!! All of the clothes collected will be forwarded onto countries in Africa through the Eco-Schools partner Cookstown Textile Recyclers. Not only did this intiative help to promote recycling but it also made us more aware of how our small steps towards recycling and re-using can have a positive impact in the wider world. Again thank-you to all those who contributed and a massive well done to the Eco-Committee on a very successful initiative!
