P4/5 are currently looking at the topic of Weight/Mass in Numeracy. The boys and girls have been exploring what different ways the same weights can be recorded and how weights such as 1kg, 1/2kg or 500g, 250g or 1/4kg can be found on different packaging found in our cupboards at home. As part of a practical homework last week, the children had to find and bring into school packaging which had various weights on it. We then set about sorting the different weights into the same/similar weight groups. Lots of hands of learning going, take a look and see!
