In Primary5 and 6 we have a new class novel for the term called Holes by Louis Sacher. In the book the campers have to dig a hole 5 feet wide, 5 feet deep every day in the blazing Texas sun...it is character building so the Warden says! To make this more real for us we decided to convert 5 feet from imperial measures to metric units and draw the shape these poor boys had to dig everyday! Some of us braved the April weather to draw the 'hole'. Now this makes the text a little more real and easier to understand.
