Primary 4 and 5 have had a busy first week back this term. In numeracy, the pupils have been looking at place value of 3 and 4 digit numbers through practical learning. The pupils explored rotating activities which helped them to learn all about place value of numbers. These included a place value dice game, sorting games and working with base ten materials. Lots of team work and concentration were needed. The pupils also explored comparing and ordering numbers based on their digit value. The pupils enjoyed these active mathematical experiences.
