The fabulous weather we have had over the past few days gave us an ideal opportunity to take our learning outdoors in Primary 4 & 5 today! We went outside to explore the contents of the school polytunnel, which the Eco-Committee are currently tending too. The purpose of our lesson was to design our own meal using ingredients from the polytunnel. However, we firstly had to identify what exactly was growing in the polytunnel. We couldn't believe the range of fruit and vegetables growing in it and this lead to some interesting meal ideas; salads, chips & vegetable pizzas were just a few of the meals talked about!
