'Walk to School' week ran from 15th-19th May. As part of this event, St Columban's Eco-Committee, along with staff, organised 2 'walk to school' mornings on Tuesday and Friday morning. A 'walking bus' set off from the Bandstand in Belcoo on both of these mornings, accompanied by staff and parents/families. On Friday morning parents and families were treated to refreshments in school after their walk. St Columban's Eco Committee were also busy over the past 2 weeks collecting and analysing data on pupil's travel habits. They were very impressed to see the number of children walking to school increase during 'walk to school' week, no doubt the introduction of the 'walking bus' was a great aid to this. Well done to everybody involved!
