Primary 6 pupils are enjoying their new novel Kensuke’s Kingdom, which centres on the main character Michael and his dog Stella. Within chapter 4 both come in to difficulty and find themselves overboard their boat the Peggy Sue......we began to consider what would Michael’s parents say? How would they react....naturally with panic, despair, anger, emotion. The pupils, in pairs, wrote a script for Michaels’s mum and dad, titling the scene in their own words and then performed their drama to their peer group. Another brilliant piece of literacy, well done P6.
